Who can take part in Barnardos Big Breakfast?
Anyone! Individuals, families, schools, businesses, clubs, and community groups are all welcome to host their own event.
What kind of event can I host?
It’s completely up to you – breakfast, brunch, coffee morning, or bake sale. Indoors, outdoors, or online. Host however works best for you and your guests.
How do I raise money?
You can set a suggested donation amount for attendees; collect funds online through a personalised iDonate fundraising page; host a raffle; or sell baked breakfast treats. We’ll provide tips and tools in your fundraising pack. Raise more than just your mug and register now.
Do I need to register?

Can I get promotional materials?
Absolutely! Once you sign up, you’ll receive posters, social media assets, event ideas, and more to help you promote your Big Breakfast.
How do I pay in the money I raise?
You’ll receive full instructions on how to pay in donations via bank transfer, online, or by post after your event.
Where does the money go?
All funds you raise will directly support Barnardos’ work with some of the most vulnerable children, families and individuals facing challenges such as consistent poverty; domestic violence or neglect; parental mental ill health or addiction; separation and bereavement – these are what we refer to as ACE’s or adverse childhood experiences.
Our work supports children to achieve their milestones and develop resilience to help them overcome any challenges they may face. Your breakfast will help fuel brighter futures so we need your help to change a child’s story today. Because childhood lasts a lifetime.
Can I get my workplace or company involved?
Yes please! We’d love to collaborate with businesses – whether through hosting an office breakfast or matching donations.
